Verity

Security & Privacy

How we protect your data — and your guests'.

Verity holds the evidence that wins chargeback disputes, so security and privacy aren't features bolted on afterward — they're how the platform is built. Here's exactly what we do, in plain terms.

Your guests trust you with their information, and you trust Verity with it — we take that seriously. Here’s how we keep your data and your guests’ data safe, in plain terms.

Your data is safe

  • Everything is encrypted — both while it travels and while it’s stored.
  • We run on Amazon Web Services — the same cloud infrastructure that powers a huge share of the internet — with automatic backups.
  • Evidence files are private and reachable only through short-lived, one-time links — never a public web address.

Only you can see your data

  • Your property’s information is completely walled off from every other hotel’s — and we re-check it on every single request.
  • No other property, and no unauthorized person, can ever see your guests, check-ins, or reports.

Protected sign-in

  • Turn on two-step verification so a texted code is needed to sign in.
  • Strong password requirements, plus automatic lockout after repeated wrong attempts.
  • Separate access levels for managers and front-desk staff, so people only see what they should.

Guest privacy, respected

  • Driver’s license photos are used to verify a guest and then discarded — never stored.
  • Guest records are automatically deleted once the dispute window closes, and we honor guest deletion requests under GDPR and CCPA.
  • Guests are always told exactly what’s collected before they agree.

Evidence you can trust

  • Every check-in is sealed with a tamper-evident fingerprint, so the evidence that wins your disputes can’t be quietly changed.
  • A complete, time-stamped record of every step backs up each check-in.

On our roadmap

Everything above is live today. A few things we’re actively working on next:

  • An authenticator-app option for two-step verification (in addition to text-message codes today)
  • Customer-managed encryption keys
  • SOC 2 certification and an independent third-party security audit
  • Additional automated threat monitoring
